Salt 'n' Pepper Almond Crackers

Beware these crackers are HIGHLY ADDICTIVE and surprisingly easy to make and bake at home in just 15 minutes with only 5 ingredients !! Sometimes you just want something crunchy and these healthy low/carb lil numbers sure fit the bill :) You can enjoy them as is or use them as vehicles for other tasty food such as smoked salmon, guacamole, pesto's and krauts. You could even make them into a thin, crisp 'tuile' for your dessert by adding some cinnamon to the dough and perhaps a touch of far as home-made crackers go, these ones are flippen fantastic and stupidly-easy to make :) 


  • 1.5 cups of ground almonds
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil (or melted coconut oil)
  • 1 teaspoon of crushed black peppercorns
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Himalayan pink salt (plus extra for sprinkling)


  1. Preheat oven 170 C
  2. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl or food processor
  3. Roll between two sheets of baking paper even thinkness (the thinner the better for crisp crackers)
  4. Cut into squares with a sharp knife or pizza cutter
  5. Sprinkle with extra salt (optional but delicious)
  6. Bake for approx. 15 minutes until golden brown (you may need to take the outside crackers off first and put the middle ones back in the oven for another minute or two)
  7. Break apart and leave to cool for crispness

Note: You could easily change these crackers with rosemary or cumin seeds, smoked paprika, sesame seeds, kelp pepper etc but we love them just like this :)
